My Promise
On July 28, 2025, I was diagnosed with stage III Invasive Ductal Carcinoma with lymph node involvement—a 2.5 cm tumor, ER+ (14%), PR-, and HER2-. Following my diagnosis, I completed 16 rounds of aggressive chemotherapy through the ACT regimen, followed by surgery and radiation.
The Pinky Promise Foundation is a vision born straight from heaven. I remember driving in my car, listening to ‘Promises’ by Lisa Knowles Smith, when I felt God speak directly to my heart: ‘I made you a promise.’ In that moment, my mind returned to the day the doctors delivered the news. Amidst the fear and uncertainty, I clung to His Word—He promised never to leave me, and He never has.
During my journey, a fellow survivor shared that resources were available for daily living expenses, premiums, and groceries. Even though the need was there, a month passed before I found the strength to apply. But God remained faithful. Someone else encouraged me to apply again, and this time, they provided a direct link to the support I needed. Taking that step was the first clear sign that God was walking right beside me. Since then, my children haven’t wanted for anything; housing expenses have been met, and food has been abundant on our table. After my story was featured on the news, local donors reached out as well—a beautiful domino effect of grace.
Overwhelmed with gratitude for a promise He has never broken, I asked how I could serve Him. In that instant, the Pinky Promise Foundation was born. Treatment, surgery, and aftercare can feel like an impossible weight to carry alone,but having someone in your corner changes everything. Let us be your light, just as others graciously provided light for me.
